Part 1. My Tale
Isteleth Galathiel is my name, it means powerful and wise of 2, well that’s because I have a sister but not any kind of sister, oh no I have a twin sister Annerueth Adhara is her name and well quite frankly I would be lost without her. I have other sisters and a brother Eldarion; can you guess who my parents are yet? No? Well let me give you some more clues. My father is King of Gondor, many refer to him as King Elessar, but to me he is Ada and always will be; my mother is known as the Evenstar of her people, though when she fell in love with Ada she choose a mortal life and I then came to be known as the 2nd bearer of the Evenstar. Well have you guess yet? Of course I’m Isteleth Galathiel daughter of Arwen and Aragorn, Princess of Gondor and 2nd bearer of the Evenstar, and this is my story.
Isteleth Galathiel Princess of Gondor, 2nd bearer of the Evenstar has a nice ring to it, don’t you think? I know I always have, though everyone calls me Isty unless I’m in trouble then I am know as Isteleth, I don’t mind being called by my nick name it makes me feel younger again and like a child up to mischief constantly, which is well true I guess. I grew up in great luxury, of servants waiting on my becking call and a wonderful family that loved me, I was always somewhat spoilt, Ada and the Lord Eomer of Rohan, always insisted me on getting a new horse every year, but I refused as I had a certain bond with my mare Sirith, I loved her more than anything else in the world. So I refused. Sirith was given to me when I was a young child I think I was 8 at the time, she herself was a young colt fresh from birth but yet already full of energy and free as the Great Eagles. She was the daughter of Shadowfax Lord of all horses , full of energy, speed and loyalty. I was 8 when I first recived her, both desperate to be free and seek adventure, that’s why we bonded straight away and never have been apart ever since. When I was 10 I was given as gifts from my family in Lothlorien, I was given 2 falcons named Thorontur and Thorwen. At 12 my family in Rivendel gave me a snow white wolf called Nienna.
As I reached the age of 15 I was full of beauty, skills, power and wisdom, it was that age I was granted my first vision with my gift of forsight, though I would call this gift a curse. I remember the day as though it was yesterday, I was riding Sirith along the Bruinien ford, Thorontur and Thorwen flying above me, Nienna walking patiently beside me. We stopped momentarily for I felt light headed and a little sick, I leaned forward and placed my hand on my forehead and took a deep breath, then I blacked out. I must have fallen off Sirith for I woke on the floor, my head screaming in pain, I sat up hands still gripping my head, I thought back to the vision I had just seen.
There was me and my sisters sat in one of the many beautiful gardens in Lothloien, we had a picnic set up and laid out and were all sat round laughing, singing or telling stories, when a dark shadow fell over us, the others hadn’t noticed but I had. Being the eldest I stood up and drew my sword and faced the shadowy figure. “What do you want?” I asked boldly By this time my sisters had noticed and Annerueth had come and stood next to me her bow drawn with a arrow notched ready. I repeated my question but this time the figure answered by movement, he lifted his hands to where his face should be……..
Then I woke, I never found the meaning of the vision, I asked and pestered a number of people, my Aunt Elenanna and my Grandmother Galadrial, I asked Grandfather Elrond till he ordered me out of is study, and I pestered Naneth and Ada till I was blue in the face, but no-one could tell me for they had no idea themselves. It was only when I reached my 19th birthday and I finally received my first adventure that I had been craving for since I was 8, did I start getting the answers I wanted.

Part 2. Summons
Isteleth woke in the early hours of the morning, the first firey rays of the days' sun were seeping in through the windows of her balcong door, casting a wonderful colour into hre room. She lay in bed listening to the early birds, singing sweet tunes and talking to each other in their own way, and of course the occasional cry of Isteleth's 2 falcons Thorontur and Thorwen. Nienna lay at the end of the bed curled up over Isteleth's feet, snoring soflty letting out the occasionaly whimper as she lay dreaming. Isteleth yawned and rolled onto her side, facing away from the doors trying to block the rays of the sun, she then closed her eyes drifting back into her dreams.
She later woke to a cold breeze being blown into her ear, she groaned and swatted her hand hitting something or someone very hard on the nose that was sitting behind her. “OW!” they cried out in surprise, Isteleth paused and rolled over to find her twin sister rubbing her nose. “Isty that hurt!” she moaned, Isteleth laughed and sat up poking Annerueth’s nose “Well Anneth, sister dear it serves you right for sitting there and blowing into my ear!” she laughed and leaned her head on her sisters shoulder.
“Naneth asked me to wake you, you’ve seem to have slept right through breakfast” Isteleth swore softly in elvish, Annerueth looked down at her sister and laughed “Now now Isty, Ada or Naneth heared that, they would have a fit” she commented, Isteketh lifted her head away and looked into her sisters beautiful eyes. “Has ada called the summons yet?” she asked pushing the covers off of her, she swung her legs over to the edge of the bed and stood up, her bare feet wincing as the cold marble lay under her feet. “No that’s why Naneth asked me to wake you, she says that they need us all at the meeting, especially you” she finished, Isteleth looked at her sister and walked over to the balcony doors and placed her hand on the handle and pushed down opening the door, letting the heat of the summers morning and the cool spring breeze fill her room. “Well I have never missed a summon before” she said bluntly stepping out, the heat hitting her face and the sun blazing down on the beautiful White City, she moved over to the edge and leaned on it getting a wonderfull view of the morning market. “I know you don’t Isty” Anneth said walking up next to her sister
Isteleth sighed and turned and walked back into her cool bedroom, she walked over to her wardrobe and opened it, she peered inside for a bit debating on dresses then finally pulled out a long sleeved white dress. She slipped off her night dress and slipped the flowing gown over her head, it falling elegantly to the floor sitting beautifully on her body, she picked up the silver cord that went with it and tied it round her waist. She moved over to her dressing table and sat down, she sat momentarily looking at herself she sighed and picked up her brush and slid it through her waist length silky dark brown hair, ridding it of all knots!
“We should get going” Annerueth said as she stepped inside from the warn outside, Isteleth nodded and opened her drawer, inside lay a arrange of things; pens, scrap paper, letters her journal and a gold and silver circlet. She placed her hands round the circlet and lifted it out, she stood up and walked over to her sister and held it out “Happy Birthday Anneth” she said, Annerueth looked at Isteleth then at the circlet then swore softly. “Oh Isty, I’m sorry I completely forgot” she cried, tears swelling up in her eyes, Itsteleth looked at her and frowned “It’s ok Anneth, I wasn’t expecting you to remember after the year you have had!” she smiled softly and reassuringly at her sister “Anyway I how could I forget your birthday, it’s the same day as mine silly” Anneth laughed and hugged Isteleth “Oh Isty I can’t accept this” a tear rolled down her cheek, she puleld away and Isteleth looked at her “Anneth I know you havn’t been yourself of late, and I forgive you for forgetting our birthday, remember I can feel how you feel, But you are going to accept my gift graciously and wear it to the summons” she spoke boldly and ment it, she started straight into her sisters soft eyes. “Fine I’ll accept it” Annerueth said, she smiled slightly and Isteleth laughed, she lifted the circlet up and placed it delicately on her head where it sat daintily. “Hurry Anneth we’re late as it is” She cried running out of her room, Annerueuth laughed and chased after her sister They ran down the corridors taking the occasional short cut, to get to the Throne Room as quickly as they could.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Continued.......
When they reached the Throne Room they stopped , the door was already closed with muffled talk coming through them, Isteleth looked at Annerueuth and nodded and placed her hand on the handle,, as she touched it she removed it quickly as though she had gotten a electric shock, the door opened and their mother Arwen stepped out looking thoroughly annoyed “Come on girls they are waiting for you!” she uttered, Isteleth and Annerueuth exchanged glances “Sorry Naneth it was my fault” Isteleth spoke timidly “Well hurry up and get inside” she demanded stepping aside to let them through, they stepped forward and opened the door and walked into the large marble room “Oh and girls Happy Birthday” Arwen whispered behind them.
Isteleth looked round the room, someone had placed a large wooden table in the centre of the room, at the far top sat Aragorn with his Lords and friends and her brother Eldarion and Grabdfther Elrond, at the other Arwen took her place seated with their Grandmother Galadrial, and aunt Elenanna, along with the Lady’s and her 3 sisters Marilla, Tolannui and Lavanduin. Isteleth and Annerueth took their places at the end of the table with their sisters and mother.
“Calling the Order of the summons, his Royal Higness King Elessar” one of the servants called from the top end of the table. Aragorn stood up and looked round “Today I wish to discuss with you something that happened to my daughter 5years ago, at the Bruien Ford!” he paused and looked down at Isteleth “Isteleth was granted her first vision that day, and yet she never found a meaning to it, until now” he stopped again at looked at his father in law, who smiled and nodded for him to do something “I would like you all to listen to Isteleth’s version of events though” he raised his arm and pointed at her “Darling if you would like to” he asked kindly, Isteleth thought for a moment would she really be getting the answers she still wanted, would she finally get the adventure she had been craving for. She stood up and nodded “Yes Ada” she paused trying to find her words “It was that day 5yrs ago , I was riding Sirith along the ford, Thorontur and Thorwen flying above me, Nienna walking patiently beside me. My horse falcons and wolf” she added quickly then carried on “We stopped momentarily for I felt light headed and a little sick, I leaned forward and placed my hand on my forehead and took a deep breath, then I blacked out. I must have fallen off Sirith for I woke on the floor, my head screaming in pain, I sat up hands still gripping my head, I thought back to the vision I had just seen.” she stopped and looked round, her gaze falling on a young male elf, he smiled at her “And what did you see in your vision, ,Lady Isteleth?” he asked reassuringly and kindly, Isteleth felt more confident and started to speak of what she saw “There was me and my sisters sat in one of the many beautiful gardens in Lothloien, we had a picnic set up and laid out and were all sat round laughing, singing or telling stories, when a dark shadow fell over us, the others hadn’t noticed but I had. Being the eldest I stood up and drew my sword and faced the shadowy figure. “What do you want?” I asked boldly By this time my sisters had noticed and Annerueth had come and stood next to me her bow drawn with a arrow notched ready. I repeated my question but this time the figure answered by movement, he lifted his hands to where his face should be” she stopped and look a little sad “Carry on my Lady” he said “I can’t” she replied “Why not?” he asked “Because Then I woke, I never found the meaning of the vision, I asked and pestered a number of people, my Aunt Elenanna and my Grandmother Galadrial, I asked Grandfather Elrond till he ordered me out of is study, and I pestered Naneth and Ada till I was blue in the face, but no-one could tell me for they had no idea themselves. Until now or so I hope” her gaze still fixed on the young male elf she finished, the room sat in silence for a moment taking in what she said.
“And you say that you never found the answer to this…….this Vision?” enquired one of her father’s lords, she shook her head “No I havn’t” her eyes darted over to the male elf then she turned to her father “Ada you said that you know the answers I need to help me find the meaning” she looked at her father pleading with her eyes, he looked at her and frowned “Isteleth we don’t necessarily have the answers you need, but between your mother and your grandparents we have figured the easiest way for you to find the answers yourself” his eyes wavered over his daughters’ face then darted to his wife’s, who nodded gently to tell him to go on “The plan that we have devised is a short training program, first you will stay here with me and practise your herbs, plants, healing and survival skills, then onto Mirkwood where Legolas has kindly accepted to help train you with some of his best warriors, then finally you are to go to Lothlorien, where you will be taught on how control your powers” he finished and looked at her, she nodded slightly understanding it all just wanting to ask 1 question
“Ada how will all this help me find the answers?” she was curious and desperate at the same time, but it was her mother who answered her question “The training should take just under a year, but as soon as it is done you will go off with either a company of 5 or on your own to seek these answers” Isteleth nodded understanding what her mother spoke off “Well if those are all the questions Isteleth I think it is time for you all to attend to your studies and bring the summons to a close” Aragorn’s eyes wavered across all his children’s’ faces, as the lords and lady’s started moving out of the hall to go do their usual jobs, only a few remained behind; the male elf, her sisters, brother and mother and father.
Isteleth stood up and gathered her skirts and walked over to her father who stood talking to the male elf that hadn’t been able to remove his gaze off of her “Ada when will I start my training?” she enquired politely “Tomorrow with me and the Lord Nathaniel” he father replied looking down at her “And which is the kind Lord Nathaniel Ada?” she asked “I am the kind Lord Nathaniel” came the voice that had been talking to her father before she had come up, Isteleth turned round to come face to face with her childhood tormentor, he bowed and straightened up “Lord Nathaniel of Lothlorien, your highness” he said, Isteleth felt her stomach lunge as he did this, him how could it come to be that this handsome elf used to her childhood tormentor, except she knew him as Nat when she was younger, everyone could see them getting married when they grew older and more mature, Isteleth didn’t she hated the idea of marrying someone that would tease her constantly about something or the other, just to wind her up. Though if she would ever be in trouble he would have gotten her out of it, though that would be a rare occasion.
“Isty?” Isteleth was pulled out of her thoughts as her sister Marilla’s voice floated into them “Isty did you hear what ada was telling you?” she asked looking at her sister “Isty?” she compelled again “Uh sorry I felt a little light headed then just had to regain my balance you know how it is” she smiled avoiding Annerueuth’s glaring stare and screaming thoughts in her head “LIAR!” “Can you repeat what you said Ada” she avoided looking at Nathaniel at the same time, Aragorn frowned at his daughter before repeating what he said
“I was telling you, just before you came over, the Lord Nathaniel was kindly agreeing to be your guide through your training, he was telling me that he just finished his a your and a half ago” Isteleth’s jaw dropped “What!” she was exasperated, he surly had to be doing this to wind her up like old times and so far he was succeeding! “Darling, Isteleth is late for her stuides as it is, can she be excused” Arwen’s voice drifted over Isteleths’ thoughts “Huh oh yes of course dear, Isteleth you are excused” he went back to talking to Nathaniel, Isteleth turned away and started to walk over to her sisters, Annerueth, Marilla, Tolannui and Lavanduin “Oh Isteleth be in the gardens tomorrow morning to begin your training” Aragorn called quickly as they left the hall.
