Sean bean is such a good actor though, he did Boromir just absolutely awesome! I love the guy even though he is tempted by the ring. He obviously loves his little brother, and thats sweet. Can you imagine what Boromir and Faramir had to go through as children, dealing with Denethor....

Well, I thought a lot about that. He is definitely one of my favorite characters in the book and in the movie.

yeah really don't like Boromir cuz he was tempted by the ring, but Pip u do have a really good point, I mean I'm sure that Boromir was kind to his brother and they did have to put up with yucky old Denethor

Yes, I agree. I bet that the two of them were really sweet when they were boys. Can you imagine time back then? Or even before. When their mother was alive. Denethor was different back then as well.

sorry but just rewatched the fellowship and three words to Boromir,
*DIE, DIE, DIE* *sorry but hated the fact that he tired to take the ring from Frodo

Grr! Now don't wish death on him! He's got several good points! 1. He's a Gondor Guy 2. It's not his fault he was tempted-the Ring would have done that to anyone! (but Faramir of course! ) 3. He's so sweet to Faramir 4. He's *my* brother-in-law!!

I have to agree with Rev. Boromir does have his good points. He is a loving brother. He cares greatly for his country. All he is trying to do is please his father when he trys to take the ring.
Yes he tried to take the ring, but he also realized as soon as he did it how wrong it was. He SAVED Merry and Pippin you know. AND gave his life in the process. Boromir is actually a very nice man. Like Rev said, anyone could've been tempted by the ring. Even Aragorn was in the movie.
However I disagree with 1 of Rev's points...
How does him being your brother-in-law make him good, wouldn't that make him worse?
*hides behind Glorfindel and tells him to draw his sword*

lol very good points Pip, and oh so true. See Sonic-- Boromir's not just some big bad hobbit bullier!
And Pip...I do have some obligation to defend family anyways.. *sweet smile at Glorfi, and nervous look at sword*
